Wedding bouquet in front of wooden casting frame

My method of plaster casting will capture your bridal bouquet in a unique and delicate way.

I make impressions of the flowers into wet clay and then pour plaster directly over it. The clay captures the most intricate details, subtly colouring the plaster as it sets. I invented this technique in 2011, and the first wedding flowers I cast were my own!

The size of the wedding tile is 400x400x15mm. It has a brass mirror plate on the back for hanging.

The cost of a wedding tile is £720

The Process

Firstly, please get in touch and let me know when the wedding is.

We’ll talk about the flowers you’re planning to use in your bouquet and which ones will cast well. Fresh flowers come out the best, so you’ll need to keep the flowers fresh and somewhere safe during the wedding. Ideally, you’ll send me the flowers the next day, but it’s fine if I receive them within three days of the wedding.

I’ll help you figure out the best way to quickly get the bouquet to me: whether it’s through a courier, someone who was at the wedding delivering it by hand, or your florist dropping it off.

Josie & Charlie (JUNE 2023)

I was delighted to cast these beautiful summer flowers for Josie and her husband Charlie. They first saw my work at Chelsea Flower Show and then asked me to cast their wedding flowers. Thank you @josieldn and @charlieirons.

LUCY & Ollie (July 2023)

I really loved casting Lucy and Ollie’s wedding flowers as it needed to be beautiful to look at and feel. I concentrated on making the impression of each flower as well defined as I could so that Lucy could clearly feel all the details. Here is their Instagram video made by @lucyedwardsofficial

“Tactile art is so hard to find and we fell in love instantly!”

CAT (August 2012)

“The tile is beautiful and such a lovely way to remember our wedding day. Flowers are ephemeral but we have their imprint preserved forever. I like the white plaster finish of Rachel’s work – it seems particularly appropriate for a wedding momento, but also looks modern and attractive to hang almost anywhere in the house.”

Maja’s Wedding (September 2012)

“I love my tile for many reasons…. it perfectly captures the fragile beauty of nature,…. it was a present from my sister and is made from flowers that my beautiful niece and I were carrying on my wedding day. Thank you for making this beautiful artwork.”
